Sony HtSS360

Designed to complement high-definition televisions and Blu-ray Disc players, Sony has raised the curtains off their latest component home theater system, called the HT-SS360

Enclosed in a sleek black gloss exterior, the home theater system is said to be a perfect companion to the Sony BDP-S360 and BDP-S560 Blu-ray Disc players. It boasts of powerful, high-quality sound with simple connectivity.

Featuring the 5.1 channel, the HT-SS360 comes with a component A/V receiver, 1,000 watts (RMS) of power, LCPM audio and three HDMI inputs (one out) to offer a full HD1080/24p and 60p video.
Moreover, the component system is equipped with a Digital Media Port to conveniently connect portable music players such as iPod and iPhone. With the company’s latest DMPort Booster technology, the HT-SS360 augments the audio performance of all sounds and videos that stream through this connection. It offers an outstanding audio result by adding previously removed information to compressed music files. It is compatible with Digital Cinema Auto Calibration and Bravia Sync to simplify set up and use.

The Sony HT-SS360 component home theater system will be available for purchase in May 2009 for a suggested price of $350 (approx. Rs. 18,120).

I saw this article earlier; it seems to like Sony is always on the leading edge in technology. Once again they’ve done it. 1000 watts RMS, this is ridiculous power, enough to make go deaf. Let me know what you think. Price isn’t bad either.
